Godzilla, acclaimed worldwide as the “King of Monsters,” has been an iconic figure in both Japanese and Hollywood cinema since its debut. To mark the release of *Godzilla: King of the Monsters* in 2019, Shinanoya Tokyo launched a series of four exclusive edition bottles, honoring the legendary creature with a truly special collection.
This expression is one of four releases selected for this special collaboration – an Islay whisky distilled in 1989 at Kilbride and bottled at 28 years old in 2017. While the distillery’s name remains undisclosed, the name “Kilbride” and the whisky’s unmistakable character strongly hint at its origins, suggesting that this is a Laphroaig single malt though not explicitly mentioned on the label.
