The Distiller’s Anthology series from Bowmore honors the profound legacy of David Turner, celebrating his journey from humble beginnings to his current role as Master Distiller. The first release in the series is this 25-year-old single malt, distilled in 1996, a time when David was involved in Bowmore’s traditional onsite floor maltings, making it a true grain-to-glass whisky for him. Matured in Oloroso sherry casks with only 3,516 bottles produced, David describes it as “deliciously ripe with a sweet, spicy fruitcake flavor that takes me back to my younger years.”

NOSE

Sweet prunes intertwined with smoky barbecue aromas.

PALATE

Starting with cherries and fruitcake, layered with dark chocolate, spices, and maritime peat smoke.

FINISH

Lingering dark fruits and salted caramel, rounded off by the distinctive Bowmore smokiness.
