Hibiki, meaning “harmony” in Japanese, was created in 1989 to honor Suntory’s 90th anniversary. Since then, it has become a celebrated icon of The Art of Japanese Whisky, embodying the essence of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Hibiki is a harmonious blend of malt and grain whiskies from three renowned distilleries – Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita – meticulously crafted to deliver a symphony of flavors and aromas. With unprecedented demand for Japanese whiskies leading to the discontinuation of most age statements, many aged expressions have sadly been retired from the Hibiki portfolio, including the award-winning Hibiki 17-year-old.
This special 17-year-old edition features a hand-painted illustration of an Egret, a white heron native to Japan, symbolizing the pinnacle of elegance. With only 2,000 bottles in existence, it’s a true masterpiece of artistry and design, even winning the prestigious “Design Excellence Award” for Glass Bottle 2012 Award Ceremony in Japan.
