Hibiki, meaning “harmony” in Japanese, was created in 1989 to honor Suntory’s 90th anniversary. Since then, it has become a celebrated icon of The Art of Japanese Whisky, embodying the essence of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. Hibiki is a harmonious blend of malt and grain whiskies from three renowned distilleries – Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita – meticulously crafted to deliver a symphony of flavors and aromas. With unprecedented demand for Japanese whiskies leading to the discontinuation of most age statements, the award-winning Hibiki 21-year-old expression remains a cherished part of the Hibiki portfolio.

This is an older edition of the Hibiki 21-year-old housed in a glossy purple box before its redesign in 2019 – a discontinued Japanese whisky that’s hard to keep in stock.

NOSE

A rich sweetness of sherry spice, banana, blackberries, and caramel.

PALATE

Juicy cherries and creamy caramel, balanced with buttery richness, a whisper of oak, and a touch of smoke and wood spice.
