First introduced in 1997, the Highland Park 25 Year Old was initially bottled at various cask strengths until the core range was revamped in 2006, when it settled at a permanent 48.1% ABV. A lower-strength version appeared in 2013, and in 2019, it became a batch release again after another rebranding.

This expression is matured in a blend of sherry and bourbon casks and bottled at 45.7% ABV, slightly lower than its pre-2013 predecessors. It earned a perfect 100-point score at the 2013 Ultimate Spirits Challenge in New York, solidifying its place among the finest.
