Chichibu’s London Edition series celebrates the relationship between Japan and the United Kingdom, with the 2019 release marking the second in this annual series. A limited edition of just 1405 bottles, it was first unveiled at the Whisky Show 2019 as a companion piece to the previous year’s release. The label features an artistic depiction of London’s iconic landmarks designed by The Whisky Exchange’s creative director, making this edition as visually striking as it is flavorful. It is a masterful blend of various cask types, including bourbon casks, sherry butts, and sherry hogsheads, all matured in traditional dunnage-style warehouses. The result is an aromatic bouquet of fresh fruits, vanilla-rich oak, and soft spices.
