This 2014 Diageo Special Release of Rosebank earned 95.5 points in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, with the comment, “Great to see it has proven successful at 21.” Sourced from the 1992 vintage – among the last whisky produced before the distillery closed the following year – it was matured in refill American oak casks, yielding an outturn of 4,530 bottles.
NOSE
A nose rich with floral notes of dried meadow flowers, accented by citrusy hints and a touch of vanilla.
PALATE
Smooth and creamy, with a pronounced malt character, sweeter scents of fruits, floral undertones, and a touch of spice.
FINISH
A medium-length finish, rich and chewy, with a hint of lemon and a growing oakiness that becomes more pronounced.
