This is the first batch of Springbank’s 12-year-old cask strength series, released in 2010 to replace the 12-year-old 100-proof. Crafted from a blend of 60% fresh sherry hogsheads and 40% refill sherry butts, it is bottled at a robust 54.6% ABV. Over the years, the ratio of first-fill to refill sherry casks has evolved, with bourbon casks now also playing a role in the maturation process.
