This 26-year-old Springbank is a single cask release in collaboration with Scottish band Travis, celebrating the launch of their L.A. Times album and Raze The Bar tour. Through the offering of a Springbank single cask and the support of Caskade, Travis headlined Kilkerran’s 20th anniversary concert in Campbeltown, paving the way for this unique Springbank release.
Featuring artwork from L.A. Times, this whisky was distilled in 1998 and aged in a refill bourbon hogshead – the same year as the iconic album “The Man Who”. Limited to just 234 bottles, it’s a collectible for both fans and whisky enthusiasts alike.
NOSE
The nose opens with gentle peat smoke, honeycomb, and tropical fruits – an introduction that captures the signature bourbon-matured character of Springbank.
PALATE
Smooth and creamy on the palate, it reveals notes of fruit syrup, peaches, and honeydew, complemented by hints of woodspice and a lingering trace of peat smoke.
FINISH
The finish carries a flinty note and ashy undertone reminiscent of campfire embers.
