This is no ordinary Yamazaki; it’s a 10-year-old expression featuring the ‘Pure Malt’ statement on its green label. While the standard Yamazaki 10 is already discontinued and difficult to find, this older Pure Malt variant is even rarer – produced before 1990 for the Japanese market, bottled prior to 2002, and discontinued shortly thereafter. The whisky was matured in bourbon barrels and bottled at a robust 40% ABV.
